This update will improve idle quality when the engine is cold, now giving the system a higher fast idle and will keep the computer live all the time for trouble shooting purposes. There are 2 harnesses presently being used 1 has a 4 fuse panel and 1 has a 8 fuse panel.

FOOTNOTE: All red wires are battery power and all pink wires are ignition power.

  4 Fuse Panel

Step 1:

On the back of your fuse panel there are four pink wires and one orange wire the orange wire is the computer wire.

There is a 12 gauge pink wire that feeds power to all the fuses. This is done by a bridge to each fuse. Clip the bridge opposite the orange and 3 pink wires. Then install an orange or red lead from the back of the fuse panel. The connector supporting the fuse has two small clips that are difficult to remove take care in doing so. The orange or red wire must hook to the battery side of the disconnect switch. This will keep the system live all the time.

Step 2:

If there is a single red wire with a connector installed to the fuel pump skip to step 3.

If the fuel pump wire comes out of the harness with a green wire and a red and black loop together continue on with this step. This harness has one small green wire, 1 red wire that feeds the fuel pump and 1 red and 1 pink wire that are looped together, cut the loop, discontinue the red wire and feed ignition power to the pink wire.

Step 3:

There are 2 wires with eyelets that presently connect to the disconnect switch ignition side. Unplug the orange wire connector from the back of the disconnect switch and install a 30amp fuse. You will no longer use the back of the disconnect switch. Make sure the orange wire eyelet is connected to the ignition side of the disconnect switch. Important Remove the alternator eyelet which is connected to the ignition side of the disconnect switch and move it to the battery side of the disconnect switch. This wire comes directly from the alternator if it is not moved from the ignition side the engine will not shut off when the switch is turned off.

8 Fuse Panel

Step 1:

On the back of your fuse panel there are 2 small orange wires and one red wire connected to a 10amp fuse. Strip the coating off the harness about 10" back from the fuse panel and cut the small red wire. Discontinue the harness end of the small red wire. There will now be a pigtail coming out of the back of the fuse panel. See diagram below.  This red wire gets feed battery power and will keep the computer live.

There is a 12 gauge pink wire that feeds power to all the fuses. This wire comes from the harness. Cut the wire 10" from the fuse panel. Discontinue the harness end. There will now be a pigtail coming out of the back of the fuse panel. See diagram below.  Connect pink wire coming out of the back of the fuse panel to the ignition side of the disconnect switch.

Step 2:

There is a four wire harness coming out of the main harness.
